This photo series highlights the machines that quietly keep the mountains running. Every year, millions visit snowy peaks, relying on these powerful tools to move them across vast landscapes. The machines may not stand out at first, but they’re essential—the carriers that make mountain adventures possible.

During a snowboarding trip, I found myself in quiet, empty spaces. People came and went, but the machines were always there, steady and reliable. The combination of the enormous, age-old mountains and large scale machines stood out to me. It felt simultaneously overwhelming and comforting to me.
